The Kiwanis Club of Moose Lake, MN is a service organization comprised of caring men and women from all walks of life. Our objective is to bring aid to children in need. The majority of our efforts benefit children in this community. A portion of the funds we raise go to help meet Kiwanis International objectives which focus on the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five. We serve by sponsoring fund raising activities, which provide monetary support for children’s programs and through personal involvement in the giving of our time and skills. Anyone interested in serving others will feel very welcome here.
The Kiwanis Club of Moose Lake
was chartered in 1960, and during the ensuing years the Club has
donated in excess of $100,000 to charitable organizations in the Moose Lake area.
Community
organizations receiving financial or volunteer support from the local
Kiwanis Club include Moose Lake High School, Kids Plus, Moose Lake
Public Library, Moose Run, Kids Against Hunger, Moose Lake Area Food
Shelf, Little League Baseball, Hope Nursery School, Moose Lake Dollars
for Scholars, Barnum Citizens Scholarship Foundation, Cub Scouts, Kids
Voting, Carlton County Soil and Water Conservation District Envirothon
and Kid's Fishing for Knowledge.
In addition to the Pancake Breakfasts that the Club sponsors, we also collect used cell phones. Donation boxes have been placed at First National Bank, and Mercy Hospital for people to donate their old unused Cell Phones. Pace-Butler
Corp will in turn pay the club a small amount for each phone returned
which will be added to the amount that we are able to donate to other
organizations.
Our meetings are held weekly on Tuesday at the Mercy Hospital Community Room at Noon. We have an interesting program each week and a good meal. Come see what's happening with the Moose Lake Kiwanis!
